Skip and the H&H Racing Team pulled into the Orlando Speed World for The  Memorial Modified Race with high hopes for a good night after coming off a string of top 3's including  2 wins in the past month. The team new it was going to be a good night after the first practice session and Skip came back in and said the car was good and judging by the times it was! Skip was one of the fastest modifieds. The team and Skip decided against practicing anymore and put on the new tires to go out for a scuff session. Looking at the times during the scuff session they had the car to beat. Skip after scuffing the tires brought the car back into the pits and the team begun getting the car ready for qualifying. Skip took the car out to qualify and took the 2 qualifying laps. Skip qualified 7th out of 22 cars. The team was a little disappointed with qualifying because they new they had a better racecar. When the starting positions were posted Skip was on the pole after the inversion. When the green flag dropped Skip shot out into the lead and begun to pull away with race slowed by only 3 cautions and never had any real pressure for the other cars Skip went on to lead ever lap.
